YES, I WANT TO SUPPORT:
History + Creativity + Ingenuity + Knowledge
Mechanics’ Hall inspires and enriches the community by promoting ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and the diffusion of useful knowledge.
Did you know that we offer Maine Kids Code, a computer coding program for middle schoolers in our classroom where mechanical drawing was once taught?
Did you know that our Grand Ballroom was designed by architect John Calvin Stevens for well-known dance instructor Melvin B. Gilbert? It is now used by the emerging contemporary dance community and is also home to 240 Strings concerts and Portland Swing Project.
Your gift supports our membership library, year-round programming including Maine Kids Code, Makers at the Hall, First Friday art exhibits and author talks, reduced rental rates for small nonprofits and the ongoing restoration and maintenance of our historic building.
Mechanics’ Hall is a qualified 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax-deductible within the limits of current federal and Maine state law. For more information, please consult with your tax advisor.
